胡坤大师（皇院院士）

这些年胡坤除了在世界各地巡演外,还培养出了大批国际级的青年独奏家。他的教学成就打破了英国教学史上多项最高记录，02年英国皇妃格露斯特为此特授予胡坤皇院最高荣誉头衔---HON RAM(院士),他再一次成为中国内地首位获此殊荣者(之前中国人仅有马友友)。 胡坤还不断为国内外音乐交流牵线搭桥: 如97年他促成了梅纽因大师临终前在中断了16年后最后一次访华演出, 99年中国国家交响乐团在伦敦的首演,04年协助签署了英皇院与上海音院的交流协议并在中央、四川、上海音乐学院举办大师班,被聘为中央、广州星海、四川音院客席教授等。自从98年胡坤受聘为英国皇家音乐学院教授以来，他还曾应邀到美国印第安那大学音乐学院(99)、英国梅纽因学校(97-01)授课。他班上曾有过苏联著名音乐家族斯特拉文斯基、西托科夫斯基的子孙,以此开创了苏联音乐和提琴世家拜师于中国提琴家的历史先河。
